Bard, Runemage and Shaman use Cloth Armor
Beginner gear has a green font when selected. It is the least effective armor and doesn't have any abilities.
When broken down, it gives you a minor shard which can be sold for 30 dram to the apprentice smith. They can be used to re-roll minor affixes.
Intermediate gear has a blue font when selected. It is not very effective armor and has a vitality affix.
When broken down, it gives you a major shard which can be sold for 50 dram to the apprentice smith. They can be used to re-roll major affixes.
Epic gear has a purple font when selected. It is very effective armor and has vitality and defense affixes.
When broken down, it gives you a glimmering shard which can be used to re-roll another Epic weapon or armor's ability.
Legendary gear has an orange font when selected. It is the most effective armor. (Does it exist?)
When broken down, it gives you an effervescent shard which can be used to re-roll another Legendary weapon or armor's abilities.
Major armor has the vitality affix, Epic and Legendary armor have vitality and defense affixes:
This affix increases the amount of total health of the user.
This affix lowers the amount of damage taken in to the user. Generally a higher defense stat is considered better than an equivalent vitality stat because it will not affect the healing rate due to not actually changing the amount of health the user has.
XP Gain: Gives a 1% XP gain to all experienced gained while wearing this equipment.
Crit Chance: Gives a 1 or 2% critical strike increase.
Crit Damage: Gives a 1 or 2% critical hit damage increase.
Incoming Critical Damage: Reduces critical hit damage by 1 or 2%.
Incoming Critical Chance: Reduces critical hit chance by 1 or 2%.
